At Rowing Regimen, we believe your training data should remain yours - completely private and secure. We've designed our platform with privacy at its core: your personal performance data entered into calculators is never collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers.

Client-Side Processing

All calculations run entirely in your web browser. Your performance data never leaves your device or gets sent to our servers.

Zero Data Storage

We don't have databases storing user information. No accounts, no profiles, no training history stored on our servers.

No Calculator Tracking

We cannot see what you calculate, the data you enter, or the results you receive. Your workout data stays completely private.

Local Exports Only

When you export data to CSV, files are generated locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted to us.

Analytics & Site Usage

Transparency about how we understand site usage

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve our tools and content. Google Analytics collects:

⚠️ Important Distinction

Google Analytics tracks website usage (which pages you visit), NOT calculator data(the numbers you enter). Your performance data, weights, times, and calculation results are never sent to Google or any third party.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

What we collect and how we handle your information

Personal Information

We collect ZERO personal information. No names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information is collected, stored, or processed by our platform.

Training & Performance Data

All data you enter into our calculators (weight, power output, heart rate, times, distances, etc.) is processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not transmitted to our servers
  • Is not stored in any database
  • Cannot be accessed by us or any third party
  • Disappears when you close or refresh your browser (unless you save it locally)

Local Storage

The only data stored on your device is your theme preference (light/dark mode), which uses your browser's localStorage. This is stored locally and not accessible to us.

How Our Tools Work

Technical details about our privacy-first architecture

Rowing Regimen is built as a static web application that runs entirely in your browser. When you use our calculators:

  1. You enter your data into a form (e.g., weight, power, heart rate)
  2. JavaScript calculates results using scientifically-validated formulas running in your browser
  3. Results are displayed on your screen, stored only in your browser's temporary memory
  4. Optional exports (CSV, clipboard) generate files locally without any server communication

No API calls are made to our servers during calculations. Your browser downloads the calculator code once, then runs everything locally. We literally cannot see what you're calculating because the data never reaches us.

  • Theme preference: Stored in localStorage (not a cookie) for your light/dark mode preference
